🏰 House Rules of the Schattenvilla

Welcome to the Schattenvilla – a place of peace, style, and respectful togetherness. To preserve this special atmosphere for the future, we kindly ask you to observe the following basic rules:

🚭 Non-Smoking Area
The entire villa is a smoke-free zone.
Smoking is only permitted outdoors – please use the ashtrays provided and do not dispose of cigarette butts in the garden, flowerbeds, or on pathways.

🧼 Cleanliness & Hygiene
Please wash and dry all used dishes, glasses, or kitchen utensils thoroughly before putting them away.

Nothing used – nothing returned. Anything that has come into contact with food, liquids, or hands must be washed and returned to the kitchen, not back into the cupboard.

Wet or soiled textiles (e.g., towels, cushions, bed linen) must not be placed in cupboards or on furniture.

🧯 Not a Place for Reckless Ideas
The following is strictly prohibited:

• Moving, modifying, or misusing furniture

• Candles or open flames indoors

• Improvised electrical connections, heaters, grills, etc.

• Nails, hooks, tape, or any other alterations to walls, ceilings, or furniture

• Hiding trash – whether in the garden, drawers, or corners

• Putting used items back into cupboards or drawers as if untouched

🕰️ Behavior & Responsibility
The Schattenvilla is a place of peace and intimacy. Please respect quiet hours starting at 10 p.m.

Guests are liable for any damage caused.

If something breaks or no longer works: please report it – don’t cover it up. We will always find a fair solution.

🗑️ Waste & Disposal
Waste separation is mandatory. Sorting instructions can be found in the kitchen.

Do not leave food waste uncovered – if suitable, it can be fed to the chickens.

🌿 Garden, Terrace & Outdoor Areas
You are welcome to use the outdoor areas – but please treat plants, furniture, and neighbors with care.

Barbecues or fire pits only upon prior agreement and in designated areas.

No private installations (tents, speakers, string lights, etc.) without approval.

We do not expect perfection – only respect.
Respect for the villa, for our work, and for the guests who will come after you.
